Meet the Staff

Ned Beckes -Interim Pastor

My wife, Mimi and I celebrate more than a century of faith in Presbyterian congregations. She is a PPK (Presbyterian preacher’s kid) born in NC and reared in VA and KY. I,
on the other hand, was born and baptized into a Presbyterian congregation organized in 1946 in a suburban area of Pittsburgh, PA. I majored in theology discerning at an early age a deep sense of God’s calling to serve and minister in a pastoral role. Mimi graduated from the University of Kentucky and remains a Cats fan along with her brothers, sister, and mother, Anne, all of whom live in or near Lexington.
For more than twenty years, I’ve specialized in intentional interim ministry.
Our family is widely dispersed -- four children, two sons-in-law, and three grandchildren live in TN, KY, and NC. Our siblings and their families are in AZ and KY. And there’s Maggie, our ever-faithful dog of many years. As for hobbies and interests…I’ll let you know when I complete my doctorate of ministry studies at Louisville Seminary in time for “retirement” when I can seriously take up golf and readings in United States history.
