The six councils at First Presbyterian Church are Administrative, Property, Missions and Outreach, Congregational Nurture and Care, Education, and Fellowship.
The Administrative council takes care of such things as financial responsibilities and personnel.
The Property council carries out and monitors the operation and maintenance of the church buildings and property. The Tuesday Crew performs some of the maintenance. The Crew is made up of members that volunteer their time once a week.
The Missions and Outreach council oversees the mission projects and the outreach activities of the church, including Telford House.
The Congregational
Nurture and Care council develops and supports worship activities
of the congregation. They are also involved in assimilation of new
and returning members.
The Education council oversees Sunday School, Preschool, Vacation Bible School and the Church Library. There are also seasonal events such as the Christmas Play that is coordinated by the Education council.
The Fellowship council provides fellowship opportunities
for the congregation, including Church Family Night and the annual
